3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

Mark your calendars and save your pennies! This is going to be a great day!

31_phillip_lim_LOOK_04mini-black-40494-096-f-copy31_phillip_lim_LOOK_07Gone are the days of cheesy or absurd collaboration pieces, the ones that can be referred to as “impulse buys” later when you see them sitting in your closet, so not congruent with rest of your stuff, bought for the sole purpose of owning a “designer” piece. Phillip Lim (and Target, hand in hand) managed to create a timeless, work appropriate collection (it’s a huge 100 piece collection of women’s and men’s apparel, shoes and accessories) with signature prints and to-die-for bags.

If you live in the US it’s worth to stay sleepless on September 15th to get a “Lim” bag for $50.00 instead of $800.00 (it’s the real deal!). It may even be worth migrating to New York from Montreal for just one day. It would totally pay off.

DIY: Lucite Cuff Inspired by Tory Burch, DSquared and Vionnet

I am loving this DIY Lucite Cuff by Kristen of Glitter ‘N Glue

L to R: DSquared2 , Tory Burch , The Glamourai , Vionnet , Ben Amun

A great cuff is always in style. Lucite was a big trend this Summer, but I have a feeling that it’s not going anywhere for Fall. Lucite accessories are still popping up all over the place. I’m especially in love with the Vionnet clear lucite cuff with the brooch on top. It’s fancy!

I just love the look of a lucite cuff. Here’s a quick and easy way you can do-it-yourself.

{Materials} Plastic Tube, Jigsaw

If you can’t find one at your local hardware store call Bill at Solter Plastics in LA. He’ll send you one for about $10 + the cost of shipping

Using your jigsaw, cut the tube to about 3 inches in length. Then use the jigsaw to remove about a 1 inch panel from the tube. Make sure the opening is…

Kristina Cloisters

I did a photo shoot a few weeks back for a photographer friend of mine. Normally I’m the makeup artist, but he asked me to play model this time.  James took the image above to send to the designer of my gown. It was made by Belinda of Romantic Threads on Etsy, you can order it here. She does amazing work and I LOVED wearing it, I even wore it in the food store! People were staring and complimenting the gown and I loved every minute of it. I went to Belinda’s shop a minute ago and I saw she posted the image there and on her Facebook page. I’ve never seen an image of myself on someone else’s website, I’m a staaaaaahhhhhhhhr baby!!!! But seriously, check out Belinda’s shop for all your fantasy gown needs. She uses the finest fabrics and her detailing is superb! I’ll be using one of the shots for my about page, tis very stush no?

Goodie Goodie Gumdrop

Just ordered these adorable gumball earrings from The Plaid Barn. They are today’s deal and at $1 a pair I naturally bought all 7 colours!!!! Order yours before they are all gone!

I also ordered my very first roll of Washi Tape and a roll of Festive Fabric Tape. After I saw the giveaway post by Elsie & Emma of A Beautiful Mess, I just had to order some washi tape for myself. Sadly, the Instant Washi Collection ($129 for 72 rolls and a handy laser-engraved storage box!) is currently sold out, but you are still able to order it and they will ship it to you as soon as more become available.  I feel a new addiction forming!
